Balıkesir Üniversitesi bünyesinde faaliyet gösteren Havran Meslek Yüksekokulu öğrencileri, Doğa ve Çevre dersi kapsamında gerçekleştirdikleri uygulamalı eğitim çalışmasıyla civciv üretimi gerçekleştirdi. Öğrenciler, teorik bilgilerini uygulamaya dönüştürme fırsatı bulurken, sürdürülebilir üretim ve çevre bilinci konusunda da önemli deneyimler kazandı. Yüksekokulda yürütülen etkinlik kapsamında öğrenciler, kuluçka sürecinin tüm aşamalarını yakından takip etti. Uygun sıcaklık, nem ve bakım koşullarının sağlandığı kuluçka makinelerinde gelişimini tamamlayan yumurtalardan sağlıklı civcivler elde edildi. Böylece öğrenciler, canlıların gelişim sürecini gözlemleme ve üretim süreçlerini yerinde öğrenme imkânı buldu. Doğa ve Çevre dersinin temel amaçlarından biri olan çevre farkındalığı, sürdürülebilir yaşam ve biyolojik çeşitliliğin korunması konuları, bu uygulama sayesinde somut bir eğitim deneyimine dönüştü. Öğrenciler yalnızca teorik bilgi edinmekle kalmayıp aynı zamanda sorumluluk alma, canlı bakımını öğrenme ve üretim süreçlerini yönetme becerilerini de geliştirdi. Etkinlik boyunca akademik personelin rehberliğinde çalışan öğrenciler, yumurtaların kuluçkaya alınmasından civcivlerin çıkışına kadar geçen süreci kayıt altına aldı. Büyük heyecan yaşayan öğrenciler, ilk civcivlerin yumurtadan çıkış anlarına tanıklık ederek unutulmaz bir deneyim yaşadı. Yüksekokul, öğrencilerin çevreye duyarlı, üretken ve toplumsal sorumluluk bilincine sahip bireyler olarak yetişmelerini hedefleyen çalışmalarını sürdürmeye devam ediyor. Gerçekleştirilen civciv üretim çalışması, öğrenciler tarafından büyük ilgi görürken, uygulamalı eğitimin önemini bir kez daha ortaya koydu. Öğrenciler hem doğanın işleyişini daha yakından tanıdı hem de sürdürülebilir üretim konusunda değerli bilgiler edinerek eğitim süreçlerine farklı bir deneyim kazandırdı.
Havran Vocational High School students in Balıkesir University have been producing chicks with practiced training work in the scope of Nature and Environment. Students have gained significant experiences in sustainable production and environmental awareness while finding the opportunity to transform theoretical information into practice. Under the event carried out in high school, students followed all stages of the incubation process closely. Healthy chicks were obtained from eggs that complement the development of appropriate temperature, humidity and maintenance conditions incubating machines. Thus, students had the opportunity to observe the development process of living creatures and learn the production processes in place. The environmental awareness, sustainable life and biological diversity, which is one of the main objectives of nature and environmental course, turned into a concrete educational experience thanks to this application. Students have developed skills not only theoretical knowledge but also take responsibility, learning live care and managing production processes. Students who work in the guidance of academic staff during the event register the process passing from the introduction of eggs from the incubation of chicks. Students who live great excitement have experienced an unforgettable experience by witnessing their first chicks from eggs to outlet moments. High school continues to keep students grow as individuals with sensitive, productive and social responsibility. The actual chick production study revealed once again the importance of practical education, while seeing great interest by students. Students have recognized both the functioning of nature and gained a different experience to educational processes by acquiring valuable information on sustainable production.
